The game is developed by Velan Studios, which is the team that made Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. Inspired by dodgeball, Knockout City is a multiplayer game where players try to knock out other players using a ball, which can have all different types of special properties.

Open to PC and all current platforms (including Nintendo Switch), anyone can join in and give Knockout City a try. Following the footsteps of online competitive games that have come before, EA is hosting a beta weekend event to test out the game’s cross-play features.
The competitive dodgebrawl-not-dodgeball game, Knockout City, is fast approaching its May 21st release date. If Knockout City can justify its pricing and continue to deliver on its mechanics, I can definitely see myself sinking a lot of time into it.
